A Year in the Garden
Winter may seem lifeless. But it is life sleeping!
And some birds and mammals are very busy looking for food and warmth.
That's why I leave my flower stalks up throughout the winter. The seeds provide food and the stalks provide pockets of protection from the snow and cold.

Spring
Spring is a delicate time. It is still frosty, but the days are getting longer.
The first pollinators are seeking flowers, which may not be blooming yet.
The Dandelion fills the gap! And your Daffodils are the next to help them along.
